Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 5, 2025
By installing the WebScrapeKit Chrome extension or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use WebScrapeKit.
What WebScrapeKit Is
WebScrapeKit is a free browser extension that helps users extract publicly visible data from web pages. It operates entirely within your browser and does not make requests on your behalf to any external server other than the pages you already have open in your tab.
Acceptable Use
You may use WebScrapeKit to:
- Collect publicly available data for research, personal, or business purposes.
- Export product data, contact information, images, or page metadata.
- Automate data collection tasks you would otherwise perform manually.
You must not use WebScrapeKit to:
- Scrape data in violation of the target website's Terms of Service, where those terms explicitly prohibit automated access.
- Collect personal data of individuals without a lawful basis for doing so.
- Conduct any activity that causes disruption, excessive load, or harm to a website or its infrastructure.
- Harvest contact information for unsolicited commercial messaging (spam).
- Use extracted data for any purpose that is unlawful under applicable legislation.
Your Responsibility for How You Use Data
You are solely responsible for what you do with data you extract using WebScrapeKit. The extension is a tool. How you apply it, where you point it, and what you do with the output are entirely your decisions and your legal responsibility.
We strongly encourage you to review the robots.txt file and Terms of Service of any website you scrape, and to act in compliance with applicable law including data protection legislation.
Intellectual Property
Content extracted from third-party websites may be subject to copyright held by the website owner. The fact that WebScrapeKit can technically extract content does not imply that you have a right to use that content freely. Verify the licensing terms of any content before reproducing it.
No Warranty
WebScrapeKit is provided "as is" without any warranty. We do not guarantee that it will work on every website, that it will always be available, or that it will extract data with perfect accuracy. Website structures change frequently and extraction results will vary.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WebScrapeKit and its developers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the extension or this website. This includes, without limitation, data inaccuracies, service interruptions, or legal issues arising from your use of extracted data.
Changes to the Extension and These Terms
We reserve the right to change, update, or discontinue WebScrapeKit at any time. These terms may be updated periodically. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of WebScrapeKit will be subject to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
